We wanted to start off by saying thank you!!!!! Three months ago, we were planning a wedding and trying to find a home to buy. We looked and looked, and there was nothing out there that fit our needs so we thought. Then one day we made a phone call to Holiday Homes after looking at the website. We spoke to a wonderful lady named Amanda Hornsby. We inquired about a new home we saw for sale in Prospector Place. Everyone did everything they could to make sure we had the home we wanted! It really says something when a company stands behind their work. I will definitely buy again in the future and tell others about my great experience. Why did we choose Freedom Homes to build our first house?

First, it was important to us to build a green home, so when we went to see their model home, we were pleased to see green features standard. The homes have Nu-Wool insulation, programmable thermostats, low VOC paint, and building materials produced by local companies. Geothermal heating was also a standard add-on, which we already knew was a must.

Second, we were able to take one of their floor plans and customize it to make it uniquely ours. Many of our changes were not standard, but Aric at Freedom Homes was able to give us quotes for these changes very quickly - usually within a day or two. This meant that we were able to not only create our dream home, but also to keep our dream home on budget.

Third, Freedom Homes was able to save us money on our land purchase. After speaking to many lenders, we were expecting to pay at least 25% down payment on our land purchase. We were thrilled when we learned that the land and construction loans would be rolled into our mortgage and the only payments during construction would be for interest.

After all the paperwork was signed, land purchased, and permits received, construction began. At the time, there was approximately 3.5 months until the expiration of the first time home buyers credit, and in the beginning we were concerned about whether our home would be completed in time. We really shouldn't have been! Construction went very quickly and it was astonishing to watch an empty field become our house, under roof even, in less than a month. The total time it took to complete our home was just under 70 days!

So, would we recommend Freedom Homes to other people who are thinking about building? Absolutely. It's been almost a year since we moved into our home and we are looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come!

I just wanted to let you know that our total January/February Gas and Electric Bill for our New Home Was Only $110!!  That is half of What we Paid for Last Year's Monthly Gas and Electric Bill During the Same Time Period: ($220 for a 1,150 sq. ft 2nd floor apartment). That is fantastic! We are sure glad we choose The Geo-Thermal System and Extra Energy Features.  By The Way- we set our thermostat at 70 degrees 24/7.
